Senator Nigel Scullion today announced a total of over $250,000 to promote tourism in the Northern Territory.

This funding is welcomed in the Northern Territory to support local tourism. By attracting more tourists to the Territory, we can help boost the local economy by creating extra jobs and providing more opportunities for small business.

These successful applicants are three of 53 innovative tourism projects across Australia from the Australian Tourism Development Program which provides support for innovative tourism projects and encourages tourism development in regional and rural areas.

"It is great to see the Territory participating in this scheme and the benefits will be felt across the whole Territory." said Senator Scullion.

"I congratulate the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, the Djabulukgu Assoc Inc and the Mary River Park for the dedication to tourism in the Territory and their efforts to continue to develop this wonderful industry" said Senator Scullion.
