Federal Funding For Harts Range Essential Services

Senator Nigel Scullion welcomed the announcement that the Atitjere Community at Haarts Range has greater access to essential services with the help of more than $360,000 in Federal Government Funding to establish the Rural Transaction Centre.

The establishment of the Rural Transaction Centre (RTC) at Atitjere Community will serve the people of the community and provide basic essential services including:
• Centrelink
• Telstra (Phone connections)
• Postal and Security box services
• Banking assistance
• Secretarial Services & Videoconferencing

Senator Scullion congratulated the Arltarlpilta community Government Council and the Atitjere Community for working together so successfully to establish the facility.
“The creation of this community RTC is evidence of their determination to provide services that are needed and I am very proud of them for this achievement” Senator Scullion said.
“It shows great community spirit and enthusiasm for future development of the community” said Senator Scullion.

Senator Scullion said that the RTC programme was the result of a great partnership between rural communities and the Australian Government and it was great to see the Northern Territory benefit from this initiative.
